Mrs. Barb Skinner
Hi! My
name is Barb Skinner and I am the Director of Development at the Center. I am
married to Merle, the Center Director and we have three beautiful
girls. Sarah, who graduated from Taylor University with a degree in
Christian Education and Bible, is now working for the state in downtown
Pittsburgh as a legal assistant. Danah is a sophomore at Malone
College in Canton, Ohio majoring in Early Childhood Education. Amy is a
freshman at Messiah College in Grantham, PA majoring in advertising and
marketing. We have an adorable little beagle named Max-in-a-million - Max for
short.
I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1980 with a B.S. in Child Development. Since then I have fulfilled many duties at the Center; everything from teaching Preschool and Kindergarten, to managing the accounting department.
I love sharing about what the Lord is doing at the Center! I guess that is why I am currently the Development Director. My role is to work with public relations, recruitment and retention of students, and with raising funds.
In my 'spare' time I love to read, play with perennials, and take walks with Max.
I am privileged to serve the Lord here. God has done many miracles these past 26 years. All the honor and praise goes to our Lord Jesus!
This is me at the Petersen Events Center at the University of Pittsburgh! Some of the Champion Christian High School girls and guys basketball team got to play here. I even got to shoot a basket! :)
